Cocktail Recipes

In honor of Vintage Wine Distributor’s Holiday Shows, we wanted to provide a collection of some of our favorite recipes for crafting cocktails with Sherry, Sake, and Greenbar spirits.

SHERRY COCKTAILS

Sherry Daiquiri

1.5 oz Lustau Fino Jarana

.5 oz Vermut Blanco

.75 oz Lime Juice

.5 oz Simple Syrup

Garnish: Lime Wheel

Description: A very nice and bright, low abv version of the classic daiquiri

Adonis

1.5 oz Lustau Amontillado Los Arcos

1.5 oz Vermut Rojo

2 Dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters

Garnish: Orange Twist (optional)

Description: A pre-prohibition sherry Manhattan with a rich and complex flavor profile

Fino Martini

2 oz Gin

.5 oz Lustau Fino Jarana

Garnish: Lemon Twist

Description: Pale yellow color. Yeasty nose, dry and pungent on the palate.

SAKE COCKTAILS

Yuzu Brunch Cocktail

  • 1 oz Hakutsuru Juicy Yuzu

  • .05 oz Simple Syrup

  • 2 dashes of Regan’s Orange Bitters

  • Cava

  • Garnish: Orange Twist

Combine Juicy Yuzu, simple syrup, and bitters. Stir well then top with cava.

Description: Bright, fresh, a nice change of pace.

Ichigo Sour

Ingredients for Mixer (7 Cocktails):

  • 8.5 oz Strawberries, hulled

  • 2 oz Simple Syrup

  • .5 oz Yuzu Juice

Ingredients for 1 Cocktail:

  • 2.5 oz Hakutsuru Sayuri Nigori

  • 1.5 oz Mixer

Put the strawberries, simple syrup and yuzu juice in a blender and blend until pureed.

Add Saké and mixer in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake to combine. Fill the glass with ice to serve.

  • Garnish: Half of strawberry or sprig of mint

Purple Rain

  • 3 oz Hakutsuru Junmai Gingo

  • .5 oz Lime Juice

  • .5 oz Blueberry Syrup

  • 1.5oz Ginger Beer

  • Garnish: Blueberries and Mint

Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake to combine. Fill the glass with ice to serve.

GREENBAR COCKTAILS

California Spritz

  • 2oz Greenbar Poppy

  • 6 oz seltzer/soda

  • Garnish: Orange Twist

Highballs

  • Any Greenbar 1-to-1, (Ginger, Orange or Hibiscus)

  • 1:1 ratio + Seltzer

Nice & Stormy

  • 1.5 oz Greenbar 1-to-1 Ginger

  • 1.5 oz Spiced Rum (Or Rye Whiskey)

  • Garnish: Lime Wedge

Hibiscus Spritz

  • 2 oz Greenbar 1-to-1 Hibiscus

  • 4 oz Tonic

  • Garnish: Lime Twist

Greenbar Poppy Amro

“Mixes incredibly well with a myriad of alcohol, I’ve done Negronis that replace Campari with POPPY, used it instead of Cointreau in a margarita, and added a few dashes to my Manhattan instead of bitters. Its well-rounded and versatile ingredients list means it can be used all over the place, or as a base for a lower alcohol cocktail.
